Kristen Marshall is Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with a passion in whole foods. She is interested in the psychology of eating and in nutrition as it relates to the individual and the environment.

Kristen Marshall is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist in Springfield, Missouri, where she was born and raised. She obtained a Master of Science in Nutrition with Didactic Program in Dietetics from Bastyr University in Seattle, Washington.

Prior to Bastyr, Kristen attended William Jewell College in Liberty, MO, where she was a student-athlete. She was always interested in health and nutrition, but became more so after graduating college and suffering from debilitating eczema for nearly a year. Due to much frustration with conventional medicine, she began to explore more holistic healing methods, which ultimately led her to the discovery of a soy allergy. It was through diet and lifestyle that she was able to find relief, and she became passionately interested in food and nutrition as they relate to wellness and healing.

At Bastyr, Kristen nurtured her love for nutrition through an innovative program that focused on whole foods. She believes in empowering people to prepare and share nourishing meals, and she is particularly interested in the psychology of eating and in nutrition as it relates to both the individual and the environment. She believes wholeheartedly that body, mind, and spirit are intricately entwined and that a holistic approach is required for healing.

Kristen loves the beauty of the Ozarks and enjoys live music, practicing yoga, playing in the kitchen, and learning to garden.
